Gathering of Friends

About a week and a half ago I got together with my dear friend Cherry to craft and enjoy some company. Her sister Grace is home now, and I have been enjoying a wonderful morning and afternoon with them and one of their friends who is also visiting.

We spent the morning enjoying wonderful conversations about knitting and sewing and childbirth with the sounds of two sewing machines in harmony as the scissors snip away dutifully at the fabric for a jacket and vintage knitting magazines pages were oohed and ahhed over and the occasional snicker as a pair of colorful knitted leggings are stumbled upon.

We have continued our fun by unpacking all of the patterns in two stashes and having a "picnic" lunch of soup on a blanket before transitioning to a more relaxing quiet afternoon. With piano Christmas music ringing in the background, patterns have headway being made on them while books are being read and inspiration is being devoured and tails of Paris are being told.

Looking forward to the next couple hours of the company of these ladies.

I love days like this: the snow falling (yes, that's right, there is snow on the ground and every once in a while in the air), company of Godly women, craft inspiration, many laughs and enjoyment.

Looking forward to more like this this winter!

PS pictureless for Grace and also because I'm not on my computer.
